And Lisbon?

For guests travelling from outside the region, Lisbon is also an excellent accommodation option, particularly for those who would like to take the opportunity to explore a little more of the city before or after the wedding.
Please bear in mind, however, that the venue is located approximately 60 km away, which corresponds to a journey of around 50 minutes under normal traffic conditions.
If you choose to stay in Lisbon, these are the areas we would recommend:

Downtown / Chiado
The historic heart of the city. Ideal for those visiting Lisbon for the first time and wishing to stay close to many of its main attractions, historic cafés, restaurants and pedestrian areas. It is also an excellent base for exploring much of the city on foot.

Avenida da Liberdade
One of Lisbon’s most central and elegant districts. Well connected by public transport, it offers excellent hotels, restaurants, and easy access both to the historic city centre and to the main roads leading out of the city.

Belém
One of Lisbon’s most iconic districts, set along the banks of the Tagus River. Home to historic monuments, beautiful gardens, museums, and the famous Pastéis de Belém, it is an excellent choice for those looking to combine tranquillity, culture, and some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.

Parque das Nações (Expo)
The most modern area of Lisbon. With contemporary hotels, wide pedestrian promenades, restaurants, shopping centres, and excellent transport links, it is a particularly convenient option for guests travelling to the venue, thanks to its proximity to the main motorways leading north from the city. It is also the area of Lisbon that is closest both to the venue and to the airport.

Whichever option you choose, we hope you find the perfect place to relax and make the most of this very special weekend.

We are looking forward to having you with us from the moment we arrive at the Basilica... all the way to the last dance.
